Demone sniffed, obviously quite miffed. “For your information, Clan cats aren’t the only one with territories.” He flicked his fuzzy white-tipped tail at her contemptuously. “I thought you’d know that…. Then again, Clan cats aren’t the sharpest tooth in the jaw.” Demone gave her a lazy grin. “So… you think you’re ready to leave now, ex-Clan cat?”

Personally, he would be gladdened if she decided to leave. She wasn’t much company and she was basically taking up space. Besides, why should he need her? She wasn’t of much use. Not unless he could convince her to become his slave. Demone almost chortled at that thought. There was no way any cat would want to become his slave unless they were utterly brainless.

Sayonarasong crawled out of her little den. She faced Demone and grumbled "Fine, if you're so sure. But I'm telling you, this place doesn't have much prey; excluding the lake. I'll live there." She padded away.

Oh well. Demone rolled his eyes. The lake was just out of his small ‘territory’ and was quite close, but at least the stupid she-cat would get out of his temporary home.

Oh. That reminded him. He’d have to leave soon; switch territories, that sort of thing. He was a kind of traveller; he never stuck to any abode, thus his characteristically small territories. He slunk past Sayonarasong and followed his nose to a place where prey roamed abundantly. A small, wicked smile crossed onto his muzzle; he would mark his territory where the most prey lived and so the other cats would starve. Though not very big his ‘plan’ might be effective.

Wait, Demone remembered; the she-cat. Would she wonder where he went? Almost at once Demone brushed it off. No, she can fend for herself; surely she was not as stupid as she seemed. Demone suppressed a hearty chortle. Then again, with Clan cats you could never be too sure.

The lithe little she-cat-- underfed for a former RiverClan cat-- made her way to the lake. She didn't care where Demone was going; it was none of her business. So when she reached the lake, she still smelt Demone's foul odor. She snorted and settled down by the lake, waiting for fish to cross by.

Demone continued on through the bushes, following his nose to what he could almost guarantee would be a good home. Might as well make it as comfortable as could be if he were to stay there for a few weeks. Demone looked back suddenly. He felt a bit guilty about leaving the she-cat behind, even though he really didn’t want her around. Demone shook his head violently, yellow eyes confused. Why was he guilty? There was no point being doubtful. She was just a former Clan cat, was all. He didn’t even know if she would keep to her word about betraying StarClan. Demone’s mouth twitched. Ah, that was the funny bit. Why should he believe her? Clan cats tended to be weak and overconfident, most of them having weird names like Happypool and Twistedeye.
