Skyfern's Attentive Care

Skyfern had been pleased when Starclan had chosen her to be the new Medicine cat for Thunderclan but it came with a bitter sweet taste. She had been the Medicine apprentice and loved her mentor, now he was gone and she had taken his place. She just hoped that she would be as good a Medicine cat as he was. Skyfern did her best to make her den and clearing open to all cats even if they werent injured or sick. She just like to have the company that only her clan mates could provide. When she took this position she knew that she could never have a mate or kits so the clan became her kits. She knew she would be over protective at times but they would all be healthier for it.

Rainpool padded into the medicine cat's den. She didn't have an injury or illness, she just felt like chatting with Skyfern. "Good morning, Skyfern," she mewed as she looked at the medicine cat. "How are you?"

[Skyfern]

Skyfern turned from her stack of herbs and looked at Rainpool. "Im doing well and you?" She asked kindly as she went back to sorting the raspberry leaves into neat piles.

[Hawkstar]

"Just fine," Rainpool replied. She watched the medicine cat sorting herbs for a moment. "Perhaps I should leave you alone, you look rather busy." The grey she-cat made to back out of the den slowly. She didn't want to interrupt herb sorting; it was more important than a conversation.

[Skyfern]

"No, stay if you like. I like the company." Skyfern replied and continued sorting various herbs.

Nightfury poked his head in the den, and said to Skyfern, "I need soem herbs,"

Skyfern looked up at Nightfury. "What herbs and what for?" She asked.

Nightfury lifted a paw. It had a claw missing, and was bleeding heavily. "I looked for cobwebs, but couldn't find any. It hurts, alot, too."

[Skyfern]

Skyfern gasped. "Oh, ill take care of I it right away" she mewed as she gathered some cobwebs and two poppy seeds. She padded over to Nightfury and pressed the cobwebs into his paw. " her eat these, they will help with the pain." She ordered.

SilverStar padded into the den

"Does it feel any better Nightfury?" Skyfern asked.

The black tom nodded, his amber eyes on Skyfern. "It does, Skyfern Teh pressure helps." He licked up the poppy seeds.

Twistedpaw bounded into the room clumsily, carrying a bunch of alder leaves. There was pitifully little of them, but still he placed them on a hard-to-reach shelf with care. "Here you go, Skyfern," he told his mentor breathlessly. "I got the alder leaves, just like you asked. They were really hard to find in our territory."

(She was just trying to stop the bleeding and pain first. And sorry I havent been on. I was in the hospital due to a car accident.)

"Thank You Twistedpaw. Will you bring me some Merigold for Nightfury please. He tore a claw and I dont want it to get infected." Skyfern mewed. "And hello Silverstar" she added.

Skyfern sighed. "I already have cobwebs on it and ive given him poppy seeds for pain. The claw is missing and could get infected. Please get me the merigold." She mewed kindly.

"I already have," Twistedpaw meowed, confused.

IC: "Thank you Twistedpaw but would you like to apply it? Practice is always good" Skyfern mewed.

"Okay," Twistedpaw meowed. He applied the marigold to the claw carefully. Only a little bit was misplaced, but it was fine, overall.

He looked up at his mentor and grinned proudly.

Skyfern purred proudly. "Vey good Twistedpaw, you will be a great medicine cat someday." She mewed.

Twistedpaw glowed at Skyfern's praise. "Thank you!" he meowed exuberantly.

"Your deserve it Twistedpaw. Ive nnever seen an apprentice work so hard." Skyfern mewed.

Twistedpaw seemed to glow with pride. "Really? Do you think I'll be as good a medicine cat as you?"
