Horrorstar padded up to the fresh-kill pile. "drop the mouse here." she meowed to her apprentice, Thornpaw.

Thornpaw did as she was told; she carried the mouse over and dropped it on the pile.

"this is where you will put every piece of fresh-kill you find." Horrorstar told Thornpaw.

Thornpaw nodded. She had already known this, but she didn't say anything.

Whiteclaw passed his leader and her apprentice and he flashed a grin their way. "Hi, Horrorstar, Thornpaw" he gave a purr

Thornpaw looked up at the other cat as he walked by. "Hi," she mewed.

the tom waved his tail in reply. "Once you are done, Horrorstar, Thornpaw, you can eat. Hunting patrol just came in" the tom said, padding away, about to leave unless someone calls him back
