Lyrestar Awakes

Lyrestar uncurled from her comfy bed of moss and stretched her front legs out, flexing her black claws. She yawned, revealing her white, sharp, teeth. She rose, and bent down, stretching her spine out before she walked to the entrance of her new den, and breathed in the fresh morning air. She was awake before most of her clan, Lyrestar had always been an early-riser. She glanced around the camp, as the first light of dawn broke the horizon, casting its orange glow over her pelt. Lyrestar closed her eyes and embraced the warmth. Newleaf had begun and Lyrestar was looking forward to the warmth of the day and the chill of the night. She padded over to the apprentice's den, ready to wake her appprentice. "Wheatpaw," she called softly, as she stuck her head into the den.
