Sootfur nodded. Of course that's what they'd do! He felt like an idiot, not knowing that before. He continued trotting along as fast as he could while carrying the other cat.

Ripplestar gave a purr of relioef as they sped up, and not before long, they had reached camp. "Snowfeather, come! we need you!" she called.

As they reached the camp's clearing, Sootfur carefully dropped the ThunderClan leader to the ground. He then stepped back and sat to wait for Snowfeather.

Snowfeather's blue eyes opened at the call of her name, getting to her paws taking a quick stretch before padding towards the voice. Her short fur stood on end when she saw a waterlogged Silverstar laying on the ground, running to Sootfur and Ripplestar "What happened?!" She mewed, eyes wide mind racing to think of what herbs to use.

"We aren't fully sure," Sootfur began to explain. "I found her like this on our side of the river. She must have fallen in." He looked down at the ThunderClan leader and watched as her flank rose and fell with her shallow breathing. Worry clouded his eyes. If she died, ThunderClan would surely blame RiverClan!

Riplestar's eyes were also clouded with worry for the same reason. What if she doesn't survive? Will Thunderclan launch a war between us? we can't afford a war- none of the Clans can! sh thought frantically. Then she noticed Snowfeather arrived. "It seems near drowning. I got the water out of her, but I don't know hwta to do next. A patrol will need to go to ThunderClan reporting this, too. Sootfur, can you manage that?"she asked

Sootfur nodded and got to his paws. He glanced around at the crowd that was forming around them. "Alright," he meowed loudly. "I need a patrol to come with me into ThunderClan territory in order to tell them what happened. Who wishes to go?" He figured he'd pick out a couple of the cats that offered, rather than forcing any of them.

Sivlerstorm poked her head out the warrior's den. "I'll go!"

Ripplestar gave the young warriro an appraising look. "that's good. why don't youy take Larkwhisper too, Sootfur?" the she-cat suggested lightly, licking her fur as she watched her medicine cat. "Snowfeather- Can you handly this alone? I wish to go to the ThunderCLan camp about this"

Sootfur nodded to the she-cats and flicked his tail impatiently. He wanted to get going as soon as possible.

Snowfeather's ears were pricked up as she listened to the leader and the approaching crowd talked of going to Thunderclan territory. Her rough pink tongue was rubbing the Thunderclan leaders fur backwards, trying to get the blood flowing as you would do a Newborn kit. Her head lifted, eyes blank as she thought of the pros and cons of having a patrol go to Thunderclan territory. "Wait, I need warriors to stay and help gather nest material to warm Silverstar, also a large patrol aloong wih the message of a hurt leader would result in an attack on the patrol with the WHOLE Thunderclan camp!" Her mew started calm and certain but ended with suprising softness and with a ting of worriness.

Sootfur looked down and saw that the ThunderClan leader was awake. His eyes widened and he looked up at the other cats. "She's awake!" he informed them quickly.

"Umm..." Sootfur mewed as he looked down and saw the she-cat staring at him. "What's the matter? Why are you looking at me like that?"he asked the ThunderClanner in a gruff tone.
