Rookpelt shrugged. "They're useful for catching rabbits." Then his face darkened. "That's ThunderClan territory."

He turned towards the hollow. "Did you know that there's a tunnel down there? It leads to this huge field that has mice, voles and rabbits. Just think of that! No other cat knows about it but me. And you." He looked back, his eyes dancing adventurously. "You in?"

Blossomlake grinned - she loved a challenge, and one put forward by this handsome tom? Why, she most certainly couldn't resist! "Ha! Well, you're definitely on. Wai - hey, no fair!" She laughed as the rabbit pounced towards him idiotically. The Thunderclan warrior scanned the area before racing off towards a juicy looking but small vole, then dropping down into a stealthy pounce when she was a meter away from it, hoping it hadn't heard her.

Blossomlake pounced, the vole squealing in terror as it tried to scrabble away. However, the golden warrior was already mid-jump, and the pitiful prey had no chance. Landing as gracefully as she could on it, her sharp claws left scratch marks on it. Blossomlake clawed at it's neck, ending it's agony within a span of a few seconds. Bringing it back cheerfully towards Rookpelt, she nodded her acknowledgement of his catching of prey first.

"One and one for both of us, huh?"

Pouncing briskly onto the rabbit in one fluid movement, Blossomlake tried valiantly to catch it - but failed - the rabbit managed to bound away quicker than she ever believed and was soon swept away in the broad landscape around her. She landed clumsily on the ground, laughing out after she'd recovered,
"Well that didn't go so well! But I can tell you, there are tons of other prey here!"

Rookpelt darted after the rabbit she'd failed to catch and, after a fashion, managed to hook his claws into it; however, it raced away. He trotted back to Blossomlake and cursed: "Mouse dung, that was terrible."
