*Grins happily*
Although it's a bit stricter than what I'm used to, I can handle it. The day someone tells me I can't handle an advanced bio is the day ... the bio requirement for one section is over 100 sentences

Re: A thought about the site...
Haha, yeah sorry about that. Though to be honest, I;d be making it even stricter if I wasn't so nice.
And now I sound like a jerk. But I like to think of advanced RPing as 150 word min. and very detailed profiles. Not to mention no spelling or grammatical errors. Seeing a ton of those make me shudder.

Pssht - that sucked, I mostly copied and pasted from my old bio. x3 Anyway, if you truly wanted awesome advanced rping, you should've seen my posts in an advanced HP thread, they were superbly long. I had TONS of muse for that topic, trust me! I've never really been able to top that ever since, though. LOL - Oh, yeah, you're a super-duper advanced RPer too. :]

- OOC~Gypsy, I created the topic for you! Is it okay? Oh, and some of Lizzy's closest friends call her Liz.
Not so sure about the relationships now - Gypsy, Lizzy could either go for Silas (Silace?) or Ben. Moonlight-does Starlight/Star want an relationship? Here's the joining thread if anyone is interested, but this isn't really so open-as in, we're probably not going to accept that many new people.

I'm up for anything!
Elizabeth Kelsey walked through Diagon Alley, her beautiful cat Stardance and her wise owl Moonlake accompanying her. She was recently accepted for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, an school for people that had magical gifts, like Albus Dumbledore and also, as she had only just discovered; like herself. Elizabeth was her full first name, but she liked being called Lizzy instead-by her friends, of course. Lizzy peeked through one of Diagon Alley's shops, and looked up at the store title. "Flourish & Blotts..." She read, and smiled slightly. This was one of the stores she had to get her wizarding books from-she'd gotten all of them except for her Transfiguration book - Intermediate Transfiguration, written by the magical author Emeric Switch. Lizzy stepped into the store, bells tinkling as she entered. "Hello?" She asked hesitantly, then she spotted the manager of the shop. Lizzy breathed out, relieved, as she asked for the Intermediate Transfiguration book. Luckily for her, they had tons of copies, and she immediately picked one up. Lizzy brought it to the counter, and then asked "How much?" The store manager replied, "One galleon and three knuts please." Lizzy fumbled with her silk, beaded lilac handbag, then took out the correct amount of money. It was all different from the muggle currency, but she didn't mind this at all. Lizzy walked out of the shop, and bumped into someone she'd never expected to see....
---------------------
Benjamin snapped "Hey, watch where you're going! ...Wait, is that you, Lizzy?!" His piercing green eyes widened as he quickly hugged Lizzy, making sure she wasn't hurt. Lizzy squealed "Ben! What-..how could you be here?" She stepped back, looking all over him as if she was seeing him for the first time. Lizzy said softly, trying to contain her hope and excitement, "Are you an wizard?!" Ben grinned, and replied "I sure am, Liz." Lizzy's eyes became deep pools of blue as she hugged him again and said joyfully, "Yay! We're going to have soo much fun in Hogwarts! Come on, let's go to Platform 9 and 3/4!" Suddenly, she noticed Nightdawn. "Oh, you got an owl too? And he's also an snowy owl! Here, meet Stardance and Moonlake!" Lizzy introduced them both, then started walking forwards, towards the train platform that'd change their lives forever, chattering on about wands and magical stuff; as if they weren't about to stand at an huge crossroad, deciding their fate.
-------------------------------------------------------------
An pretty red-haired girl stood at the hidden, mystical train platform as she waited patiently for the train to come. There were several other students wandering around, but Leah was bored - and she knew it. "Jamiane, Whisper, this is so boring, isn't it?" Leah grumbled, Whisperlight squeaked back and Jamiane fluttered his brown wings. She smiled at them both, then took out her wand. It was decorated with intricate engravings, and was quite soft. Leah felt an magical spark jump inside of her, as if the connection between her and the wand was physical. And, truthfully; it almost was-all wands chose their owners, just like hers had chosen Leah. She smiled, this time a little wider and happier; as the girl stood in the almost empty train platform, holding an wand.
OOC~Okay! I like this first post, actually. Like, an lot. Soo...let's get started!
- My friend's awesome post:
- [Thanks for starting it : ) Great first-posts(s) By the by, I only posted Rebecca in this one---I've got to go to school. Silas and Ethen will appear : P]
REBECCA
Diagon Alley. That was what he'd called it, though Rebecca was sure she'd have heard of a place with a name like that at least once in her life if it existed. And she certianly hadn't. It felt alot like someone had decided to play a practical joke on her, sending over this kind faced, brown-and-grey haired man with the news that she was actually not just a small, skinny, srange girl. She was a small, skinny, strange wizard girl. Witch girl. Did they use different terms for male and female? Maybe...
"Here."
"What?" Rebecca stared. "What's here?"
Lupin, much to patiently, pointed ahead at the small gap between a two indiscript coffee shops. "Diagon Alley... Well, the pub we need to get to Diagon Alley" He brought up his other hand to massage the bridge of his nose, the way an adult might in the prescence of a particularly annoying child. "You have to look for it. I mean really look."
Feeling silly, Rebecca squinted at the gap, willing it to be something other than, well, a gap. Her eyes kept slipping off of it---like it were made of some gaze-repellent. Nothing happened. "Ok, are you serious?"
"Yes. Keep trying."
"Bu---"
"Keep. Trying."
Her cheeks flushed red as she, pale eyes narrowed, began to focus again. Her vision blurred---and then came back into focus all at once, sharpening the world around her.
"Oh My God."
It was like the two shops had just slipped right on over, nonchalontly creating room for an old, rickety looking pub in the shape of a couldron. None of the people had noticed... not in the Record Shop, or the Book shop, at least. Neither had any of the women or men walking along beside it. It was like they... it was like they couldn't look at it. Their eyes snapped across the Pub as though it were repelling them, forcing them to stare at one of the two shops instead of the plainly obvious.
"Good job---now let's buy some books." Lupin strode confidintly forward towards the Pub. His jacket billowed out behind him in fawn-brown folds of frayed fabric, looking as patchy and old as ever, though Rebecca found it hard to think he looked particularly bad. Rather, he looked good in it.
That didn't mean she was going into the Pub... or was it an Alley? It looked more like a Pub, all faded and old, with peeling paint and dark, dirty, stained windows... But Lupin had said they were going to Diagon Alley...
It didn't matter. Diagon Alley or some old pub. She wasn't going in. She didn't know the place, and it was full of strange people (who were all staring rather bemused at her from beneath cloaks and hoods or mops of hair) From her position on the sidewalk she could spot the equally old looking sign---it was called 'The Leaky Couldron'.
"Well aren't you coming?" Lupin asked, quirking an eyebrow. He held out a hand and twiddled his fingers impatiently, standing with his back to The Leaky Couldron, eyes twinkling merrily.
Rebecca, balking the way a horse might, gave the tiniest of head-shakes. "N-no thank you, Lupin. I'd rather stay here." She tapped the ground lightly with one shoe. "On the sidewalk."
"Oh, come now. Do you want to go to Hogwarts?" He paused, thinking hard, and seemed to change his mind about the word choice. "If you come inside I'll buy you a sweet."
"Maybe... just for a little while." Rebecca ignored the look of friendly triumph on his face as she trotted to his side, and she did not take his hand. Her eyes wandered the contours of the pub, instead, soaking in all the details before they stepped inside to eat or find the Alley way, or whatever it is they were going to do.
Inside it was... well, she gasped and clapped a hand to her mouth. It wasn't so much the decor that frightened her, or the people. It was what the people were doing. Stirring cups without touching the spoon, eyes scanning newspapers that had moving pictures. A few glanced up at her and she flushed again, unable to hide her surprised face.
Lupin was smiling. "I remember the first time I saw someone doing magic. I daresay I took it a bit better than you did, but I was shocked.... Ok, well, more than anything I wanted to do magic, but I liked watching people as well." This time Rebecca allowed him to grasp her small hand in his, absorbed in watching people perform all kinds of strange magic's right before her eyes.
A maid was serving trays, pointing at a silver platter that floated along beside her with one finger, and a second one with another. She made it look easy.
"Will... can I do that?"
"No. Not yet." Lupin led her through the Pub by her hand, hiding smiles as she tripped and stumbled over her own feet, much to enthralled by people doing various magical works to be bothered with the task of walking properly. He stopped before a large, brick wall. "Oi, pay attention. Rebecca. Rebecca!"
"Hmm? Oh, yes, what?" Rebecca glanced at Lupin, saw the look on his face, and returned her attention to the---brick wall. She was staring at a brick wall. A mossy, chipped, bright red brick wall. "Do I have to stare at this, too?"
"No. Watch." Lupin pulled out a wand and began to tap on the bricks. Three up, she counted, and two across. Three times he tapped the wall. Three up, two across. Three up, two across. And then the bricks shivered. And receded. One by one, folding into themselves, the bricks began to move. Quicker and quicker until man and girl were standing beneath a gigantic arch, staring into the longest, strangest Alley Rebecca had ever lay eyes on.
"Welcome to Diagon Alley." He allowed her to take it all in. And then he was dragging her through the arch, and along the alley, swinging her out of the way of people until she had managed to regain her own footing, and had taken up a steady trot at his side. "You'll be needing a proper wand, first." He mused to himself, "and then some robes... and a couldron and---what else did that blasted list say? Scales? Oh, an owl, of course. All wizards have an owl."
Rebecca remained silent at his side, eyes wandering the faces of various strange looking shops and equally strange looking people. Many gave her friendly smiles. Others glared. She pressed to Lupin, jerking her gaze off of a man who clearly did not want to be stared at, though if he noticed he didn't show it. "Wands first?" She asked.
A nod. "Wands first. The shop is right up ahead---here we go." Lupin gestured to a narrow, shabby looking place with the words 'Ollivanders: Makers of fine wands since 382 BC' in peeling gold letters above the door. Stepping inside she found herself amongs hundreds of narrow boxes piled to the ceiling and back. A skinny man with wispy, white hair and pale eyes was standing behind a dusty counter, watching her as she stood, nervous, by the door.
"Are you here for a wand?" He asked impatiently. Rebecca gave a slight nod. "Well, come on then. You can't just stand there and expect a wand to fly over."
She edged forward until she was standing in the middle of the shop, boxes all around her, a door behind her (Where Lupin, talking to some random man, had decided to momentarily forget about her prescence) and a counter in front. "O-ok."
"Let's get some measurments. I'm Ollivander---" The man, Ollivander, whipped out a strand of measuring tape and began to measure her while he spoke. "---the owner of this shop, obviously. You'll be needing to eat a bit more," He'd just measured around her middle, and was working on her calf, "you're skinny as a twig. I suppose that's the new thing nowadays." The sigh that accomponied those words reminded Rebecca of the noise an old cushon makes when sat on after years of lying untouched. "Girl's'r all thin and bony because it 'looks good.' I myself like 'em a little plump." The measuring tape wrapped around one of her fingers. "Ah, good. We're done. It's time for your wand to choose you."
"My---wait, don't I choose the wand?"
Mr. Ollivander pulled such a disgusted face that Rebecca began to blush, biting her lip as he shook his head. "Nononono, of course not! We certianly could not have that! The wand chooses you!" He grabbed a stack of boxes and set them on his desk, pulling of a lid. "Try this one." A long, skinny, narrow wand shoved into her trembling palm. It began to vibrate, and an entire stack of boxes toppled over to her right. Mr. Ollivander snatched the wand away and gave her another. A bottle of ink crashed to the floor, staining the wood with sticky, black liquid.
Shaking his head, Mr. Ollivander gave her another. And another. And another. The entire time he shook his head, looking frustrated. They went through dozens of wands. Boxes lay on the floor and on his desk, lids off. Rebecca was frowning. Maybe wands just didn't like her...
" 'avent had one like this since Harry Potter," Ollivander was muttering to himself, slamming another pile of wand-boxes onto one of the only empty spaces left on the floor, "at least he didn't break all my valuables."
Rebecca blushed and appollogized for the millionth time, but the man wasn't listening. He handed her another wand, which she waved, and a painting threw itself off the wall as though comitting suicide. Face red, Ollivander stuffed the wand back in it's box. "Try this one, now. Wave gently---" the wand itself shot out of her hand and into the wall. Rebecca made an irritated noise in the back of her throat. It was settled---wands did not like her.
Mr. Ollivander was looking tired and defeated. He slumped back against the counter, staring hard at Rebecca, who began to fidget beneath his gaze. And then he sighed like a dusty cushion. "I give up. You are impossible to wand! The first child I've ever had to turn down!" He looked so miserable that Rebecca, determind to brighten his mood, gave a shaky smile. "That's ok. I don't need a wand."
"Don't need a wand!" Ollivander screeched. He flew into a rage, spittle flying from his mouth as he scolded her for saying such a thing... but Rebecca was no longer paying attenion. Her eyes had strayed to a box at the bottom of the pile, the one touching the floor. She knelt, enraptured. "I think..." Her hand found the cardboard and, without a care for anything else, jerked it out from beneath a ceiling-high pile of identical cardboard. Everything toppled to the ground. Mr. Ollivander wailed like a baby. "I think I want this one..."
She held up the wand truimphantly. It was long and narrow and made of light-colored wood, with leafy vines winding up and around the base the way real vines might. Mr. Ollivander spluttered, and watched as she waved it around a bit. Nothing broke or crashed or fell. The vines on the wand grew and ebbed and beautiful, white sparks flew from the tip like snowflakes or fireworks, or both.
"That's your wand," Ollivander croaked gratefully, "you found your wand!"

- OOC~Oh my gosh, I love your posts! They're so full of detail! And, thank you! It's no problem - Silas and Ethen can come in later.
IC~
I'm gonna give all my secrets away...
Lizzy cheerfully took out her wand that she'd gotten from Ollivander-an beautiful, intricate Willow wand with unicorn hair core. Her wand had lovely, detailed vines spiraling up the rich wood; and flowers engraved near the vines. Lizzy's wand also featured an moon and star at the bottom of the handle, and she started talking about her wand to Ben.
"So, my wand is willow with an core of unicorn hair-quite flexible and pliable, excellent for charms and illusions; and even..."
Lizzy lowered her voice a little, then continued; "Granting wishes - but they have to be full of good intentions, and an wish commands the highest price, like death." She then looked at Ben's emerald eyes, asking "What's your wand?" Lizzy smiled as Stardance purred and wound around her legs and Moonlake flapped her snowy-white wings, nudging Ben's shoulder affectionately.
Ben grinned back as he took his wand out of the soft velvet bag, running his hands over it. He showed it to Lizzy, explaining it's properties.
"It's Hazel and Phoenix feather core. Great for defending against the dark arts, and excels in spells that help you gain information or seek the truth. It's strict and relatively strong, and is also good for Transfiguration."
Lizzy nodded, her blue eyes shining. "Wow! That's an great wand - I bet you'll go far in Hogwarts.." She trailed off wistfully, as she subconsciously stroked her wand tip. Ben shook his head, his dark hair flying.
"No, I'm sure you'll be the top student in your class! Your wand is special and unique, only for you. After all, each wand chooses its owner; and every wand is different."
Lizzy beamed, then suddenly a thought hit her-What if they weren't in the same classes?! She looked up at Ben and asked "What classes do you have? What year are you going to be in? Oh, and...what house are you in?" Lizzy hoped Ben would be able to answer her question-and, that he'd have at least one class with her.
Ben looked at her, an smile playing on his face as he answered,
"I'm going to be in the Third Year, and I'm in Gryffindor."
Ben then carefully took Lizzy's silk bag from her, digging inside of it until he found what he wanted - her timetable. "Aha!" He checked it, then remarked to Lizzy, "We've got Care of Magical Creatures together - but...why are you having it? And why do you also have Divination and Study of ancient runes? What year are you going to be in, and what house are you in?"
Lizzy giggled at Ben's sudden flood of questions, and answered them as best she could.
"I'm going to be in the Second Year, and in Gryffindor."
She frowned slightly as she pondered why she asked Ben, "But what's wrong with me having Care of Magical Creatures, Ancient Runes and Divination?"
Ben considered her question, then remembered what Kingsely had told him: 'Every student in Hogwarts has mandatory classes-that is,Defense against the Dark Arts, Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, Herbology, History of Magic and Astronomy. But there are also classes restricted for Third Years only - such as Arithmancy, Divination, Ancient Runes and Care of Magical Creatures. There are also additional classes for students to take, if they want to-like Art, Muggle Art, Music, Muggle music, Ghoul studies...' He retold what Kingsely had said, and Lizzy immediately tipped her head to the side; confused.
"Well, then I'm not sure why I have third-year and up only classes - I just know that's what Dumbledore gave me. But..." Lizzy remembered something unusual that had happened when Dumbledore went to fetch her to go to Diagon Alley-he'd first given her an slightly shorter list of classes after quizzing her on what extracurricular activities she wanted-and then Dumbledore had received magical contact with another witch or wizard, and he'd given her an longer list then the first one, telling her that those were her real classes.
Lizzy told Ben her story, and he frowned; his forehead creasing up. He thought hard about this as they rounded a corner, nearing Platform 9 and 3/4 with every step. Ben suddenly said,
"Oh - I think I know! You were always an really clever girl, so...maybe, just maybe; you're smart enough that Dumbledore and the Hogwarts staff decided to put you in classes that normally you shouldn't be in?"
Lizzy considered this possibility excitedly, and replied; "Well...maybe. We're not sure yet, though." She snuggled up against her best and first friend as they finally reached the train station. Lizzy smiled, walking through the entrance with Ben; as they found the opening to Platform 9 and 3/4.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Leah turned as she heard some footsteps echoing off the shiny walls of the platform. She quickly walked towards the newcomers-one witch and one wizard, two owls and a cat. Leah assumed they were also students going to Hogwarts, so she stepped forwards and introduced herself.
"Hi there! I'm Leah. Who are you two?"
Leah asked, an friendly smile on her face, as she brushed her ginger hair away from her face.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Lizzy was a little startled, but quickly masked it. "Hi! I'm Elizabeth Kelsey, but you can call me Lizzy. And this is Benjamin, but call him Ben - he's my best friend!" Ben grinned, and said, "Hi. Nice to meet you."
----------------------------------------------------------------
Leah nodded, and motioned for them to sit down on one of the benches with her. "Soo...are you guys going to Hogwarts too?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Lizzy and Ben both nodded, and Lizzy replied, "Yes! I'm super excited!"
OOC~Sorry for the long post. xD - I'm deciding to end my post in the middle of their conversation, otherwise it could go on and on forever. >.< I'll continue it in the next post, probably.
- 3::
- Long Live, the walls that crashed down...
Leah nodded, knowing exactly what Lizzy was talking about. "Of course! Hey, what years are you guys in? I'm in my Fifth Year."
Lizzy beamed, her sapphire eyes sparkling. "I'm in my Second year, and in Gryffindor. Although..." She trailed off, thinking back; and then continued, "But, the sorting hat was really considering putting me in Ravenclaw and almost did, but eventually decided to put me in Gryffindor." Ben continued what Lizzy had started "Oh, and I'm in my Third year. We're both just starting Hogwarts, and both in Gryffindor. What about you?"
Leah smiled back, and replied, "I've been at Hogwarts for a few years-if you guys need any tips, just ask me! And I'm in Hufflepuff." Lizzy nodded, unconsciously twirling an strand of her pretty, wavy gold hair. Ben noticed and smiled fondly at recollections of Lizzy doing that so many times in the past. Suddenly, he noticed the train arriving. "Hey, Liz, let's go! Oh, and you too, Leah; of course." Ben quickly stood up, and walked to the train with his arm around Lizzy.
Leah laughed at the two close friends, and joined them. "Where should we sit?" She asked them. Lizzy looked around, then saw Compartment B, which was near the entrance of the train. She answered excitedly, "Let's sit there!" Ben nodded, agreeing; and walked towards the compartment door and opened it.
The three friends stared a bit in puzzlement, until Lizzy realised that they were staring; and it was unpolite to do so for such a long time. Lizzy then sat down next to the witch sitting all alone in the empty compartment, apart from her owl and cat. Lizzy tried to avoid the witch's extremely long hair, and greeted the witch. "Hello! I'm Elizabeth, but you can call me Lizzy...who are you?"
Ben shrugged and sat down to Lizzy, feeling an little protective of her. But he shook his head mentally - this was the Hogwarts Express, and if any student hexed Liz they'd be in deep trouble. Leah sat opposite the 3 witches and wizard, quietly witnessing the scene as Jamiane sat, perched on her shoulder and Whisperlight scrambled out of her robes; squeaking cutely.
Sorry, couldn't choose! ;]
